Sleepy Cowboy/Boot Scramble - Contestants unsaddle and hobble/turn loose horse. Race starts
with contestant on ground in sleeping position. At starting sound contestants run to boot pile to find and put on their boots, then must catch their horse, saddle and bridle the horse and then ride a lap around the arena.
Wild sheep milking - For the younger set
Cattle sorting - must bring cattle across line in numbered order. Two and half minute
time limit. Unlimited contestants if family members.
Pasture pastor cow horse challenge - horse must be owned and or ridden by
someone in a pastoral capacity exceptions are made for someone who knows a
pastor by first name . Steer is brought out of herd worked around barrel
pattern then roped and brought to standstill. Breakaway ropes allowed and
dogs or other contestants can help move steer around barrels.
Only other rule is have fun while staying safe and enjoy your horse and one
another's company.
